Passcovery software with GPU acceleration to recover passwords

The final release of 2020 is Passcovery Suite 20.12. Brings you GPU Acceleration on AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series

Passcovery announces the release of Passcovery Suite 20.12 update supporting the new GPU of AMD Radeon RX 6000 series featuring AMD's new RDNA 2 architecture.

We are proud to announce that Pascovery's flagship product makes it possible to recover lost passwords with GPU acceleration based on all the most anticipated, renowned and overrated video cards released in 2020. As efficiently as it worked on GPU's from Team Green (although Ampere architecture fell short of our expectations), so it works now on with RDNA 2 architecture from Team Red.

The promising evolutionary development of AMD's RDNA 2 architecture, which has almost doubled the density of computing cores, while keeping the same chip area without increasing thermal envelope (TDP), makes the new AMD graphics cards the preferred solution for GPU-accelerated password recovery applications.

Traditionally, performance of a video card was calculated as the product of the number of computing cores by their operating frequency. So it was before NVIDIA's Ampere architecture. In the Ampere architecture, the performance of computing cores has ceased to be linear: the speed of 32-bit floating-point computations has doubled, while the speed of other computations has remained the same. That is, the speed of single-precision computations has definitely increased (2x FP32), while the speed of password recovery has remained unchanged (INT32).

The new AMD's RDNA 2 architecture features a full-fledged, almost double, increase of the number of computing cores which brings a proportional increase of the computing power of all new AMD's graphics cards. Along with it, due to the selective “duplication” of CUDA cores in Ampere architecture, when used with password recovery applications, GeForce RTX 30 graphics cards perform at the level of previous generation GPUs.

Due to the recommended retail price of video cards there is an enormous gap in the preferences of those who are looking for password recovery hardware.

GPU Acceleration in Passcovery Products

The use of GPU computing is an absolute attribute of professional password recovery software.

With a large number of computing cores, modern video cards are able to simultaneously handle a huge stream of homogenous calculations. This perfectly fits into the paradigm of algorithms used in the brute force attack on strong passwords of many popular file formats.

That is why the use of video cards while recovering passwords significantly increases the speed of attacks on lost passwords, as compared with CPU-only configurations.

Therefore, in order to provide the best solution, Passcovery Suite (as well as individual products of the company) supports GPU-accelerated brute-force attack on strong passwords of popular file formats:

  • Microsoft Office 2007-2019 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • OpenOffice 1.1-4.x / LibreOffice 3.3b-6.x
  • RAR files in RAR3/RAR5 format (WinRAR 2.90 or higher edition)
  • Zip archives with classic and WinZip AES encryption
  • TrueCrypt volumes 7.*
  • Apple iOS 4.x-13.x backup files

About Passcovery Suite

Passcovery Suite software solution is created to enable fast recovery of lost passwords using GPU acceleration on AMD/NVIDIA video cards.

In addition to a guaranteed high speed of brute-force attack on strong passwords, Passcovery Suite offers various range customization options:

  • extended (positional) mask
  • dictionary mutation
  • custom attack scenarios

All these features of the program allow users to significantly reduce the time needed for recovery of strong protection passwords.

Weak protection passwords are recovered, deleted or removed instantly.

Passcovery Suite supports rainbow tables for decryption of password-protected Microsoft Office/Adobe PDF documents with 40-bit encryption (Microsoft Excel/Word 97-2003/Adobe Acrobat 2-4).

Demo versions of Passcovery programs

32/64 bit versions of Passcovery programs are made available for Windows 7, 8.x, 10 and their server editions.

The demo versions have no restrictions on the speed of brute force attack (for one GPU in the system) and the general functionality.
